General
What services does A Bunch of Creators offer? +
We offer Shopify development, platform migrations, brand redesigns, SEO strategy and content, custom technical development, ecommerce consulting, and comprehensive site audits. Most clients work with us on a combination of services.
Are you a full-service digital marketing agency? +
We're a specialized ecommerce agency — not a generalist digital marketing firm. Our focus is ecommerce development, Shopify, and organic growth (SEO and content). We don't run paid media, social media management, or email campaigns in-house. That specialization means the work we do is deeper and more effective.
How do I know which service I need? +
If you're unsure where to start, an ecommerce site audit is often the best first step — it gives you a prioritized view of what's actually holding your business back. Alternatively, schedule a free discovery call and we'll help you figure out the right approach.
Do you work with businesses outside of Shopify? +
Yes. While Shopify is our primary platform, we work across WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and custom ecommerce builds. Many clients come to us specifically to migrate from those platforms to Shopify — but if Shopify isn't the right fit, we'll tell you that honestly.
Shopify Development
Learn more →Are you an official Shopify Partner? +
Yes. A Bunch of Creators is an official Shopify Partner, which means we have direct access to Shopify's partner resources, beta programs, and support channels. Our developers are experienced with the full Shopify ecosystem including Shopify Plus, Shopify Markets, and the Storefront API.
What's the difference between Shopify and Shopify Plus? +
Shopify Plus is Shopify's enterprise tier, designed for high-volume merchants ($1M+ in annual revenue). It unlocks checkout customization via Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Flow for automations, dedicated account management, and higher API rate limits. We develop on both tiers and can advise on when upgrading to Plus makes financial sense.
How long does a custom Shopify store take to build? +
A standard custom theme build typically takes 6–10 weeks from design-approved to launch. Complex builds with custom apps, extensive integrations, or large catalog migrations take longer — usually 12–20 weeks. Template-based setups can move faster, sometimes launching in 3–4 weeks.
Do you offer ongoing Shopify support after launch? +
Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance retainers for bug fixes, app updates, performance optimization, and new feature development. Many clients stay on a monthly retainer after launch to keep their store running at peak performance.
Can you migrate our existing store to Shopify? +
Yes — platform migrations are one of our core services. We migrate from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and custom platforms, handling all product data, customer records, order history, and SEO redirects. Learn more on our Platform Migrations page.
SEO Strategy & Content
Learn more →What's included in your SEO services? +
Our SEO services include a full technical SEO audit, keyword research and mapping, on-page optimization, content strategy and creation, link building outreach, and monthly performance reporting. We tailor the scope to your goals — whether that's ranking for product keywords, building authority with a blog, or recovering from a traffic drop.
How much do SEO services cost? +
SEO pricing varies based on scope, competition, and goals. Monthly retainers typically range from $1,500–$5,000/month for growing ecommerce brands, with one-time audit and strategy packages starting around $2,500. We scope every engagement individually — get in touch for a custom estimate.
How long does it take to see results from SEO? +
SEO is a long-term investment. Most clients see measurable improvement in rankings and traffic within 3–6 months, with significant results typically visible at the 6–12 month mark. Technical fixes and on-page optimizations often yield faster wins while content and link building build compounding value over time.
Do you specialize in Shopify SEO? +
Yes — Shopify SEO is a core specialty. As an official Shopify Partner, we understand the platform's SEO quirks, from URL structure and canonical tag issues to collection page optimization and product schema. We also work with BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and custom platforms.
What's the difference between an SEO audit and ongoing SEO services? +
An SEO audit is a one-time diagnostic that identifies issues and prioritizes opportunities — it's the starting point. Ongoing SEO services are a continuous program that implements improvements, creates content, builds links, and adapts strategy as your rankings evolve. Many clients start with an audit before committing to a monthly retainer.
Platform Migrations
Learn more →How long does a platform migration take? +
A standard Magento or WooCommerce to Shopify migration takes 8–14 weeks. Complex migrations with custom functionality, large catalogs (10,000+ SKUs), or enterprise integrations take 16–24 weeks.
Will I lose SEO rankings when I migrate to Shopify? +
Not if handled correctly. We implement comprehensive URL mapping, 301 redirects, meta tag migration, and a 90-day post-launch monitoring period. Most clients maintain or improve rankings within 60 days.
Can you migrate all my product data and order history? +
Yes. We migrate products, variants, images, collections, customer accounts, order history, and reviews. Some data types have platform-specific limitations which we explain during scoping.
What platforms do you migrate from? +
We migrate from Magento 1 and 2, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Volusion, Squarespace Commerce, Wix Stores, and custom-built platforms. If your platform isn't listed, contact us — we've handled unusual source platforms before.
Brand Redesigns
Learn more →How long does an ecommerce redesign take? +
A full store redesign typically takes 8–14 weeks from strategy to launch. Focused conversion optimization passes on specific pages can move in 3–4 weeks. We provide a detailed timeline after our initial discovery call.
What does a website redesign cost? +
Template-based Shopify redesigns start around $5,000–$8,000. Custom design and development builds range from $15,000 to $50,000+ depending on complexity. We scope every project individually — get in touch for a free estimate.
Do you redesign Shopify stores specifically? +
Yes — the majority of our redesigns are for Shopify and Shopify Plus stores. As an official Shopify Partner, we build custom Liquid themes that are fast, conversion-optimized, and fully maintainable.
Will a redesign hurt my SEO rankings? +
A poorly executed redesign can hurt SEO — but ours won't. We implement proper URL mapping, 301 redirects, meta tag preservation, and structured data throughout. Many clients actually see SEO improvements post-redesign due to better page speed and Core Web Vitals.
Do you handle the design, development, or both? +
Both. We handle end-to-end redesigns — strategy, UX wireframes, visual design, and development. If you already have approved designs from your own designer, we can handle development-only.
Web Accessibility & ADA Compliance
Learn more →Is my ecommerce store required to be ADA compliant? +
Courts have consistently ruled that websites qualify as places of public accommodation under the ADA. Ecommerce stores are frequent targets for serial ADA litigants. While there's no explicit federal web accessibility law, WCAG 2.2 AA is the de facto standard courts reference. Proactive compliance is significantly cheaper than defending a lawsuit.
How much does an accessibility audit cost? +
A comprehensive WCAG audit typically runs $1,500–$3,000 depending on site size and complexity. Full remediation (fixing the issues found) is scoped separately based on the audit findings. Many stores can achieve compliance for under $5,000 total — a fraction of the cost of a single ADA demand letter.
Do accessibility overlay widgets make my site compliant? +
No. Overlay widgets add a toolbar on top of your existing code but don't fix the underlying HTML issues. Courts have rejected overlay-as-defense arguments in ADA cases. Genuine compliance requires fixing your actual code. Read more in our article on why overlays don't work.
What's the difference between WCAG levels A, AA, and AAA? +
WCAG has three conformance levels. Level A covers the minimum requirements. Level AA — the standard we audit against — adds requirements for color contrast, text resizing, and more complex interaction patterns. Level AAA is the highest standard but is generally not required for legal compliance. AA is what courts expect and what we recommend.
Ecommerce Consulting
Learn more →What does an ecommerce consultant do? +
An ecommerce consultant analyzes your business, identifies growth opportunities and operational gaps, and provides specific recommendations to improve revenue, reduce costs, or accelerate growth. Engagements vary from a single strategy session to an ongoing advisory relationship.
How much does ecommerce consulting cost? +
One-time strategy sessions and project-based consulting typically start around $2,500–$5,000. Monthly advisory retainers vary based on scope and involvement level. Contact us for a custom quote.
What's the difference between consulting and development? +
Consulting is strategic advisory — we analyze, recommend, and plan. Development is execution — we build, code, and implement. Many clients start with consulting to define the right approach, then move into development to build it. We offer both.
Do you offer ongoing advisory retainers? +
Yes. Monthly advisory retainers are a core part of our consulting offering. We act as a fractional ecommerce leader — available for strategy calls, vendor evaluations, technology decisions, and growth planning on an ongoing basis.
